Lincoln Christ's Hospital School Digital Archives

Welcome to our digital archives

Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School celebrates the past and embraces the future. Having reached our 50th year and using modern technology to connect past and present we are able to
share experiences and stories of today and over the past five decades to celebrate the community of staff and students over these years.

Arthur Behenna was the last headmaster of Lincoln School on our Wragby Road site and then the first headmaster of the new non-selective school opened here in September 1974. It
is completely appropriate that the growing collection is named after such a pivotal figure in the school’s history.

In establishing the new digital archive, we are indebted to the Foundation of Christ’s Hospital at Lincoln without whose generous support this innovation would not have been
possible.

We hope you will enjoy this fabulous and ever-growing collection of photos, stories and memories.  While there are certainly many gaps to fill, additions to be made and errors to be
corrected, we are certainly very proud of what has been collated so far.

We are particularly keen to acquire more unframed or scanned copies of many of the large group photos. Please contact us through Behenna.Archive@lchs.uk or lchs50@lchs.uk.

We hope you will enjoy this celebration of the past and join us in embracing the future of a school which serves its community through a world class education.
